Arsenal tipped to win Andre race in January after Liverpool hijack reveal - Agbonlahor
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Arsenal are “more attractive” than Liverpool as the two sides prepare to do battle for Fluminense midfielder Andre.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested Champions League football and London location are two big factors favouring the Gunners.
Football Insider revealed on 20 October that Liverpool remain confident about landing Fluminense midfielder Andre in January despite fresh interest from rivals Arsenal.
Sources have also told Football Insider (22 October) that the Gunners could hijack the Reds’ move for the 22-year-old if they are able to move Thomas Partey or Jorginho on.
Andre has racked up 50 club appearances across all competitions this year, scoring once.
He earned his second Brazil cap last week after impressing for Copa Libertadores finalists Fluminense.

Fourth-place Liverpool and third-place Arsenal are seperated by just a point in the Premier League table after nine games.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I would say Arsenal are a more attractive option for someone like Andre.
“They’re playing Champions League football, they’re higher in the league.
“They’re London-based, which is another key factor.
“At the moment, I’d say Arsenal are more attractive.
“The manager is building something with fantastic players coming in, and I think more and more big players will choose Arsenal.”
There is already a sizeable Brazillian contingent at Arsenal, which includes Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus – as well as sporting director Edu.
The sides face off on 23 December at Anfield just days before the January window opens.
