Sources: Everton and Aston Villa race to sign Largie Ramazani

Everton and Aston Villa are among the clubs tracking Almeria winger Largie Ramazani ahead of a potential move this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The former Man United academy forward, 22, is attracting admiring glances from across Europe after starring for the Rojiblancos on their return to the Spanish top flight.

The Andalucian club have yet to secure safety with one game of the season remaining but face already relegated Espanyol on the final day (4 June) knowing a win will be enough to maintain their La Liga status.

However, they face a battle to keep hold of their highly coveted wideman this summer regardless of how that bid to escape the drop plays out.

The Belgium Under-21 international has notched three goals and one assist in 33 games across all competitions this term.

Football Insider understands that Everton and Villa are just two of the clubs to have watched Ramazani closely this season as they consider boosting their attacking options.

Villa are likely to need reinforcements as they prepare to balance competing in the Europa Conference League with their Premier League commitments next season.

Everton, meanwhile, are out to ensure that they avoid being dragged into a relegation battle for the third consecutive campaign.

Should either follow up on their interest, they will be asked to meet Almeria’s £35million asking price in order to strike a deal for a player who has scored and provided an assist across two games against Real Madrid this season.

Away from a likely transfer, Ramazani is already in for a busy summer after being called up to the Belgium squad for the Under-21 European Championship.

Jacky Mathijssen’s side have been drawn alongside Portugal, the Netherlands and co-hosts Georgia in the group stages of a tournament that is set to kick off on June 21 and will run until July 8.
