Sources: Man City now willing to sell Borges - buy-back clause possible
Man City will likely insert a buy-back clause if they are to sell Carlos Borges this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
City are open to both a loan deal or a permanent move for Borges this summer.
The 19-year-old is highly regarded at the Etihad but there is a consensus that he will massively struggle to break into the first team given the quality already in the side.
Borges himself is aware of the difficulty of regular game time in Pep Guardiola’s side and may prefer a club that can promise him more regular game time.
The winger has been attracting interest from Premier League and Championship clubs after an impressive season for City’s Elite Development Squad.
On Monday (10 July), Football Insider revealed that Bournemouth are ready to join the chase for Borges this summer.

The Cherries have sent scouts to watch the Portuguese Under-19 international at the Euros as they look for reinforcements in attack.
Borges has started all three of Portugal’s Group A games at the tournament so far.
Newly relegated Southampton are also one of a number of clubs eyeing up the teenager this summer.
Borges made 33 appearances for City’s Under-21s side last season, netting 29 goals in those outings and was named Premier League 2 Player of the Season.
Of his 29 goals, Borges scored four separate hattricks and was also awarded City’s EDS Players’ Player of the Year.
