Sources: Liverpool ready £45m Romeo Lavia bid after terms agreed
Liverpool are set to submit a £45million bid for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia, sources have told Football Insider.
Lavia has agreed personal terms with the Reds as they ready another offer for the 19-year-old.
Klopp’s side have held extensive talks over a deal for the Belgium international as they look to replace high-profile duo Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, who have both departed for the Saudi Pro League.
Man United and Chelsea have also been in the race for the 19-year-old but Jurgen Klopp’s side are still leading the charge for his signature.
On 28 July, Football Insider revealed that the Blues were plotting to hijack the Merseysiders’ pursuit of the Saints star after hitting a stumbling block in talks for Brighton’s Moises Caicedo.
Chelsea are believed to be in a position to bid closer to Southampton’s £50m asking price than Liverpool.

The Reds had a bid of £34m, plus £4m in add-ons, rejected by the Championship side as they ready another higher offer.
The Saints are holding out for a higher offer for the midfielder given Man City’s entitlement to 20 per cent of any fee received for Lavia.
The teenager’s current contract at St Mary’s runs until 2027 after joining from the Cityzens last summer.
Lavia made 34 appearances for the Saints across all competitions last term and was in the starting lineup for 29 of those outings.
The midfielder also netted one goal and offered up one assist last term.
