Sources: West Ham ready to open Scott McTominay talks
West Ham are keen to sign Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay this summer and are ready to negotiate with Man Utd, sources have told Football Insider.
Manchester United are understood to be wanting around £40 million for the Scottish international but that fee is seen as too high at this point by West Ham.
David Moyes is a huge fan of the 26-year-old and keen to bring him in to help bolster his midfield option for the upcoming Premier League campaign.
The Red Devils are keen to cash in on their asset and will be more open to offers once they have secured midfield target Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina.
Harry Maguire is also liked the by the Europa confrence league champions however his asking price and wage demands exceed what the London side are willing to pay.
The likelihood of United dropping their demands will grow as the window rolls on with McTominay aware he is free to explore his options for next season.

West Ham are pushing to add multiple targets in time for the new campaign after losing captain Declan Rice to Arsenal in a deal worth £105 million.
Talks have also been ongoing for James Ward-Prowse but have paused as Southampton are holding firm on their £45 million valuation of their skipper.
McTominay featured 24 times for Eric Ten Hags side last season in the Premier League, a total of 1149 minuets. He managed to grab a single goal during the league campaign. He has been capped 39 times for Scotland.
