Revealed: Big update on Clement's January transfer budget at Rangers
Rangers chiefs are working hard to make transfer funds available for new manager Philippe Clement in January, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed funds are tight at Ibrox following the summer splurge led by now-departed boss Michael Beale.
But a well-placed source has told Football Insider that the Rangers board will do “everything they can” to free up money for Clement.
The Belgian took charge of the Gers for the first time on Saturday (21 October), leading his new side to a comprehensive 4-0 win over Hibernian.
Clement’s next test comes in the Europa League against Sparta Prague on Thursday (26 October).
He succeeded Beale in the hot seat with Rangers trailing rivals Celtic by seven points after just seven games.

That is despite the ex-Queens Park Rangers boss undertaking an extensive overhaul of the playing squad in the summer window.
Nine players, including Danilo and Sam Lammers, arrived at Ibrox – while 15 senior stars departed.
But of those signings, only Brighton loanee Abdallah Sima and free transfer Jack Butland are currently widely considered as successful.
Sima has hit nine goals across 16 goals in all competitions so far this term.
Clement, who signed a contract at Rangers running until 2027, is believed to be keen to transform the fortunes of underperforming new arrivals like Danilo, Lammers and Cyril Dessers.
Lammers has scored just once from 31 shots since his reported £3.5million arrival from Atalanta in the summer.
