Sources: Rangers well placed to make big Jack Butland profit - new price tag revealed
Rangers already privately value goalkeeper Jack Butland at more than £5million amid interest from Birmingham City, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Friday (20 October) that the Ibrox club will not entertain any January offers for the 30-year-old shot-stopper.
Butland joined Rangers on a free transfer in the recent summer window and has already become a star man.
The Gers value him at more than £5million and it is believed that price tag will only rise if his good form continues.
Receiving that fee would represent a huge profit for a club who have a history of selling their best-performing stars.
Butland is under a long-term contract at Ibrox which is set to run until May 2027.

Crucially, it is believed EFL clubs will not currently be able to match Rangers’ valuation of the former England international.
The ex-Crystal Palace and Stoke ace is enjoying life in Glasgow and happy to remain at the club for the long term.
Rangers had trailed Butland for over a year and initially considered moving for him last summer (2022) before Allan McGregor chose to prolong his playing career.
He has played every minute of every match for the Ibrox side since arriving, including in the Europa League group stage.
Butland racked up 248 appearances in England’s top two divisions during spells with Leeds, Barnsley, Derby, Stoke, Birmingham and Crystal Palace.
The 30-year-old has nine caps for England but made his last Three Lions appearance in 2018.
