Manchester City defender Kyle Walker was involved in a heated tunnel confrontation with an Arsenal coach after full-time – and Erling Haaland piled as chaos descended.

It took until the 86th minute for the deadlock to be broken, with Gabriel Martinelli’s deflected strike sending Emirates Stadium into raptures.

The atmosphere was just as heated once the game concluded as emotions and tempers spilled over.
Sky Sports cameras showed Walker squaring up to Nicolas Jover, the Arsenal set-piece coach who had worked for the Manchester club between 2019 and 2021, after appearing to ignore Jover’s handshake gesture.
Haaland subsequently joined his team-mate away before further staff members and security got in-between the pair.

City boss Pep Guardiola remained tight-lipped on the situation in his post-match press conference.
He said: “I know what happened, but I don’t want to say. They know it.”
The Spaniard didn’t appear particularly tense about the incident, however, as he laughed after delivering his answer.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta insisted after the game that he had not seen the altercation.
Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards said: “It looked like he was going to shake his hand, but Kyle didn’t really want to.
“We’re in October, if we were in March or April I could understand the frustration, they probably don’t want to go to Arsenal and lose but it’s not the end of the world.”
