'His legs have gone' - Casemiro is 'getting targeted' by Man United's opponents, says Agbonlahor
Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted Casemiro’s Man United form is not a “blip” and he should have never been signed on a four-year contract.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 31-year-old’s former club – Real Madrid – have pulled off an unbelievable deal to get £70million for the midfielder.
Casemiro enjoyed a successful first season in the Premier League after signing last summer (2022) but has had a more unhappy time in the 2023-24 campaign so far.
He has been criticised by fans and pundits alike for his early-season performances and has missed the last two games through injury.
Man United handed the Brazil international a five-year deal with a reported wage of £350,000-a-week upon his arrival at Old Trafford.
He has managed four goals and one assist in 11 appearances across all competitions this term.

Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I don’t think his bad form is a blip.
“The Premier League can catch up on players very quickly. It’s just like Fabinho.
“He can’t run any more, and he got found out. Clubs will target you.
“If you’ve got legs, you’re going to have a field day against Casemiro. He’s getting targeted.
“His legs have gone, he’s giving the ball away, he can’t get back, he’s getting spun.
“It’s not his fault. It’s the fault of whoever paid big money to bring him in on a four-year contract.
“Real Madrid don’t sell players they want.
“They couldn’t believe it when the bid came in.
“He’s had an amazing career, but the Premier League catches up with you.”
