Revealed: Leeds United man earning £3m-a-year less than Tottenham counterpart amid record-breaking Daniel Levy reveal
Leeds United CEO Angus Kinnear is currently earning a six-figure salary at Elland Road after previously getting more than £500,000-a-year, Football Insider can reveal.
The 46-year-old joined Leeds in 2017 following Andrea Radrizzani’s takeover of the Yorkshire club.
Kinnear was one of many new staff members brought to the club by the Italian as part of his rebuild.
As per Leeds’ latest 2021/22 accounts, Kinnear’s salary at Elland Road is £569,000 per year.
Kinnear’s salary may have taken a cut following Leeds’ relegation to the Championship last summer, but updated figures are not yet available.
During the club’s time in the Premier League, Kinnear was one of the worst-paid directors in the top flight.

As per the Daily Mail, Tottenham director Daniel Levy topped the salary list with earnings of £3.3million, while former Newcastle director Lee Charnley was at the foot of the table with a wage of £260,000 per year.
Man City were the only Premier League side to not disclose their director pay, although CEO Ferran Soriano is expected to be on a salary competitive close to that of Levy.
Kinnear is one of the few board members to have survived this summer’s takeover by the 49ers’ Enterprises.
Paraag Marathe replaced Andrea Radrizzani as chairman but chose to keep Kinnear as CEO despite overseeing the club’s relegation.
Kinnear and Leeds’ former ownership came under criticism from fans this summer after a large portion of first-team stars left the club via relegation loan clauses.
However, the Whites CEO revealed that their loan clauses actually saved the club around £40million this summer.
