Sources: Fulham set to sign defender in January with ex-Man City star Adarabioyo set to leave
Fulham will be in the market for a right-sided centre-back in the January window with Tosin Adarabioyo expected to leave the club, sources have told Football Insider.
Adarabioyo, 26, is out of contract at the end of the 2023-24 campaign and is set to be the subject of offers when the mid-season window opens on 1 January after making up his mind to leave.
And Fulham are ready to spend big in the new year after promising Marco Silva much-needed funds.
Football Insider revealed on Friday (27 October) that Silva has been given assurances about spending big in the January window and beyond after he signed a new contract at Craven Cottage.
It is believed a striker is the main priority with Fulham among the lowest-scoring sides in the Premier League following Aleksandar Mitrović’s summer move to Al-Hilal.
But a right-sided centre-back has also been identified as a key area for improvement in January.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Silva’s side are expected to be “one of the busiest clubs” in the winter window.
Adarabioyo has played just one minute of action for Fulham this season, with injury limiting his involvement.
Tottenham and Monaco were among the sides chasing his signature in the summer window, but a move failed to materialise.
The ex-Man City star made 29 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring once.
Fulham have won three of their opening nine Premier League games this term and claimed a 2-2 draw against Arsenal in August.
They are next in action against Brighton on Sunday (29 October).
