Revealed: Brighton plan to agree Mitoma deal and sell for £70m+
Brighton will consider offers for star man Kaoru Mitoma even if he puts pen to paper on a new contract, sources have told Football Insider.
The Seagulls are happy to let players go if their value is met by elite clubs, with Moises Caicedo, Alexis Mac Allister and Ben White among those to leave in recent years.
Football Insider revealed on Saturday (7 October) that Brighton are not willing to include a release clause in any potential new contract for Mitoma.
However, a well-placed source has told Football Insider that the Japan international is currently valued at around £70million.
Landing that fee would represent a massive profit for the south coast club, who signed Mitoma for a reported fee of just £2.5million in 2021.
It is believed that Man United and Chelsea have watched the winger in action regularly since his Premier League breakthrough last term.
