Sources: Norwich to block Aston Villa January move for Rowe
Norwich City will not entertain offers for star attacker Jonathan Rowe in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (16 October) that Aston Villa are in pole position to land the 20-year-old Canaries man.
It is believed Crystal Palace are among several other Premier League sides interested in Rowe following his eye-catching form so far this season.
Top-flight sides see the starlet as a player with huge potential, with one well-placed source telling Football Insider that the Norwich man is viewed as a “possible star in the making”.
David Wagner’s side could have a fight on their hands to keep Rowe in Norfolk, with his contract set to expire in 2025.
It is believed the Canaries are not willing to discuss a deal with top-flight sides in January as they focus on gaining promotion back to the Premier League.

However, they could resign themselves to losing Rowe in 2024’s summer window if they fail to achieve that goal.
The attacker made his debut for England’s Under-21 side last week (12 October) and scored in the 9-1 rout of Serbia.
He came off the bench once again on Monday (16 October) as the Young Lions were defeated 3-2 against Ukraine.
Rowe earned his place in the international set-up after netting seven goals in 13 appearances across all competitions for Norwich this term.
He has played in a range of roles during those outings, including on both flanks and in attacking midfield.
Wagner’s Norwich sit seventh in the Championship table.
They are aiming to return to the Premier League for the first time since their relegation as the bottom club at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
