Sources: West Ham set sights on signing goal machine better than Harry Kane
West Ham are among the Premier League sides considering a January move for red-hot Stuttgart goalscorer Serhou Guirassy, sources have told Football Insider.
The 27-year-old forward has been a revelation for the Bundesliga side in the 2023-24 campaign so far, and has outscored Bayern Munich superstar Harry Kane by five goals in the new league season.
Premier League clubs had been linked with Guirassy in the past, but no one was willing to take a chance on him while he was playing for Stade Rennais.
The hitman’s 13 goals in the first seven Bundesliga games of the season have brought him back on the radar of English sides, including West Ham.
He tops the scoring charts ahead of Kane, who has eight league goals for Bayern, and Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface and Wolfsburg’s Jonas Wind, who have seven apiece.
Crystal Palace and Bournemouth have also been widely linked with potential January swoops for the Guinea international.

David Moyes’s side are keen to add another striker to their ranks in order to ease the goalscoring burden on winger Jarrod Bowen, who has notched five goals and two assists this term.
They are yet to replace Gianluca Scamacca at the London Stadium, with the Italy international heading back to the Serie A after just 12 months in England.
Fulham could also enter the race for Guirassy as they look for a long-term Aleksandar Mitrović replacement.
Raul Jimenez and Carlos Vinicius are yet to hit top goalscoring form following the Serbia international’s exit for Saudi Arabia.
Guirassy joined Stuttgart permanently this summer after a successful loan spell at the German outfit last season.
He is under contract until June 2026.
