Sources: Fabio Carvalho to undergo medical after Liverpool agree deal
Liverpool forward Fabio Carvalho has agreed a season-long loan move to RB Leipzig with no option to buy included, sources have told Football Insider.
Talks between the two clubs have been ongoing since Leipzig saw a permanent offer worth in excess of £10m rejected last month.
But, in a major win for the Reds, they have ensured that Carvalho will leave only on a temporary basis as he looks to put a frustrating debut year at Anfield behind him.
Football Insider understands that the forward will undergo a medical next week in order to put the finishing touches to a move to Germany.
The possibility of a further loan season-long stint has already been tentatively discussed, though much would depend on how the coming campaign plays out, and if a path to regular football at Anfield instead opens up.
It is also likely that a successful season for Carvalho would tempt Leipzig into once again attempting to strike a permanent deal for his services.

Liverpool’s preference had been to agree a loan deal with a fellow Premier League club, with Brentford, West Ham and Burnley among those who expressed an interest in such a move.
But a strong sales pitch from Leipzig, including the chance to play Champions League football, made them the player’s favoured destination.
And Carvalho will now get the chance to get his career back on track in Saxony after Klopp and interim sporting director Jorg Schmadtke signed off on a move.
The player’s main aim is to prove that he still has a future on Merseyside after a frustrating debut season following a move Fulham 12 months ago.
He was restricted to just 342 minutes of Premier League action as Liverpool ended the season trophyless and outside the top four but is still viewed as a potential star by coaching staff at Kirkby.
