Sources: West Ham submit formal Dominic Solanke bid

West Ham have submitted a formal bid for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, sources have told Football Insider.

The offer is believed to be around the £35-40m mark with the London club waiting on a response from their Premier League counterparts.

Bournemouth also have concrete interest in Solanke from another top-flight English club in the market for a centre-forward.

It leaves the future of the England international, 25, up in the air in the final 10 days of the summer transfer window.

Solanke has a contract at Bournemouth that runs until the summer of 2026 after he signed an extension in August of last year.

The striker scored seven goals and provided seven assists for Bournemouth last season as they secured Premier League survival.

The one-time England international was lethal in the previous campaign as the Cherries were promoted from the Championship, scoring 30 goals in 49 games across all competitions.

He came through the ranks at Chelsea but moved to Liverpool on a free transfer in 2017.

However, the forward managed just 27 senior appearances for the Merseysiders and left Anfield for Bournemouth in a reported £19million move back in 2019.

Meanwhile, West Ham are discussing a £40m bid for Mohammed Kudus of Ajax and that deal is looking increasingly likely to proceed following further Sunday discussions.

The Hammers have also agreed a deal with Stuttgart over signing former Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos.

The Stuttgart defender has also had interest from Eintracht Frankfurt, Wolves and Nottingham Forest this summer but is attracted by the prospect of a return to London under David Moyes and flew to London over the weekend to undergo medical test.

West Ham have turned to the 25-year-old Greece international after talks for Manchester United defender Harry Maguire stalled.
