Emiliano Buendia will find it 'tough' at Aston Villa amid season-ending injury claim - Agbonlahor
Emiliano Buendia will have to wait for his opportunity in the Aston Villa starting XI, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Aston Villa’s record Premier League goalscorer tipped Danny Ings to replace Leon Bailey when Steven Gerrard’s side face Burnley on Saturday (7 May).
Ings replaced an injured Bailey after 40 minutes of the 2-0 win over Norwich City last weekend (30 April).
Medial guru Ben Dinnery told Football Insider earlier this week (2 May) that the 24-year-old’s season may be over due to his ankle injury.
Ings provided an assist shortly after he came on before Buendia set up for Villa’s second in the second half.
The Argentina international, 25, replaced Philippe Coutinho with just under 15 minutes to go and provided an assist in stoppage time.

“It’s difficult for Buendia,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“If you look at the team, Ings has just scored so will Ings and Watkins start with Coutinho to make up a three?
“I’m sure Buendia is not far off getting a start and if he does, he’s just got to take it.
“It’s OK coming on and having nice touches but when he does get his start, he has to take it and show why he should be in the team.”
Buendia now has five assists in the Premier League this season as well as two goals in 30 appearances.
He has only started one of Aston Villa’s last nine games and has not completed the full 90 minutes of a game since the 1-0 win over Everton in January.
In other news, Aston Villa have submitted a ‘big-money’ player offer and he is made up his mind on a move.
