Kyogo Furuhashi 'frustrated' with Celtic teammate after what expert spotted

Kyogo Furuhashi is “getting frustrated” with Celtic teammate Greg Taylor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Hoops striker Frank McAvennie said he can see Kyogo getting annoyed with his teammates for not playing the ball quickly enough.

The 28-year-old has netted five goals in 11 appearances so far this season across all competitions and is averaging a goal every 159 minutes in the league.

The forward came under criticism last season in the Champions League for missing chances and being unable to find the back of the net.

McAvennie suggested that since Brendan Rodgers has returned to the club, the style is not suiting the striker’s style.

I see Kyogo getting a wee bit frustrated now because they are not passing it forward quick enough,” he told Football Insider.

As a striker I can see his is having a go at Greg Taylor a lot because he is not passing to him when he is making his runs and it is frustrating for a centre-forward.

I think Brendan is the right guy to sort all that out. I do not think there is anywhere he has gone that he has not improved players.

I think he will have a word with Kyogo to make sure he does not get annoyed.

Last season the Japan international netted 34 goals in 50 appearances for the Hoops and was averaging a goal every 94 minutes, despite failing to score in Europe.

Kyogo was also awarded top goalscorer in the Scottish Premiership for the 2022-23 campaign with 23 goals in 31 appearances.
