Rangers star Cantwell told to shut up after 'attention seeking' claim - pundit
Rangers star Todd Cantwell should “focus on his football” instead of trying to stir up drama with Chris Sutton.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Celtic striker Frank McAvennie suggested there is only one winner when anyone tries to cause beef with Sutton and it’s not the player.
The pair are no stranger to an internet argument and have previously taken digs at one another, with Sutton in particular labelling the Rangers playmaker “TikTok Todd”.
Earlier this week, speaking on the Beautiful Game podcast (17 October), Cantwell called the ex-Celtic man an “attention seeker” and questioned his obsession with the Gers.
McAvennie insisted Cantwell should let it go because Sutton is always going to come out on top.
“Chris has done exactly what he meant to do,” he told Football Insider.

“When he first hit back I thought someone would have got a hold of him and told him not to bite because Sutton is really good at it. He has obviously not learned.
“Chris is doing what Chris does and he is very good at it and Cantwell is biting.
“He is one of the ones who is actually a decent player and could make a name for himself, just get on with it and forget about Chris.
“If you take on Chris Sutton then there is only one winner. Cantwell should just concentrate on his football and take what Chris is saying with a pinch of salt. It is funny for all of us to see but he should concentrate on his game.“
