Revealed: Leeds United have agreed £1.7m deal - and it's all because of Andrea Radrizzani
Andrea Radrizzani is charging the Leeds United hierarchy £1.7million per year in rent to use Elland Road, Football Insider can reveal.
The former Whites owner remains the majority shareholder of Elland Road Ltd despite selling the rest of the club to the 49ers this summer.
Elland Road Ltd published their accounts for the 2022/23 season via Companies House on Monday (9 October).
The published accounts revealed that Leeds United are being charged £1.7million per year in rent to call Elland Road home.
That particular lease between the two parties is set to run until 2032.
While Leeds were charged £1.7million by Elland Road Ltd in the 2022/23 season, the accounts also reveal that they loaned £1million back to Leeds.

Radrizzani purchased Elland Road during his takeover of the Yorkshire club in 2017.
He is named as one of four directors at the company, with club CEO Angus Kinnear also a listed director.
While Radrizzani was heavily praised by Leeds fans for purchasing the stadium back in 2017, he faced criticism this summer after it was revealed that he offered to use the stadium as collateral.
As reported by The Athletic, Radrizzani was willing to use Elland Road as security for a £26million bank loan which he intended to use to complete a takeover of the Italian club Sampdoria.
Talks of using Elland Road as security thankfully collapsed, but the Italian’s reputation among Leeds fans took a significant hit as a result.
