Leeds XI v Leicester City: Starting line-up, confirmed team news, injury latest
Leeds United will face top-of-the-table Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Friday (3 November).
Ahead of the Whites’ biggest challenge of the season, Football Insider has predicted Daniel Farke’s starting line-up to take on the Foxes.
Defence
Farke may opt for an unchanged backline against Leicester.
Illan Meslier has started all the Whites’ Championship clashes this season keeping five clean sheets, while full-backs Sam Byram and Jamie Shackleton impressed in Leeds’ 4-1 victory over Huddersfield.
Captain Pascal Struijk is likely to start and despite fitness concerns over Joe Rodon, he is a possibility for the starting XI as Farke will want a full-strength backline.

Midfield
Despite Glen Kamara’s good form this season, Archie Gray’s excellence in midfield could see him return to the line-up.
Farke deployed the 17-year-old at right-back to little success in recent fixtures, meaning he is a viable option for the midfield.
Gray is likely to partner Welshman Ethan Ampadu, who according to FBRef, has made the most tackles in the Leeds squad this season (32).
Attack
Farke confirmed that Crysencio Summerville took part in training ahead of this clash, but admitted he is still a concern, suggesting the German may reintroduce Willy Gnonto back into the starting XI.
Daniel James’ brace against the Terriers should be enough to keep him in the starting line-up after being dropped for the 1-0 Stoke defeat, but Farke’s trusted strike partnership of Georginio Rutter and Joel Piroe will probably keep their spots.
In other news, Premier League clubs have set their sights on signing three Leeds stars this January.
