Sources: Everton working on last-gasp £30m deal for Southampton star Sulemana
Everton are exploring a late move for Southampton forward Kamaldeen Sulemana as a replacement for Fulham-bound Alex Iwobi, sources have told Football Insider.
Goodison boss Sean Dyche is working to bring in a goalscoring winger before Friday’s (1 September) transfer deadline and Sulemana figures highly on his wanted list.
The winger, 21, joined Southampton from Rennes during the 2023 January transfer window, but could not prevent them from suffering relegation from the Premier League.
Southampton value Sulemana around the £30million mark and that price could prove problematic for Everton.
Nevertheless, the player is keen on a return to the Premier League and is willing to join Everton.
The Ghana international made 18 appearances for the Saints in the second half of last term, but managed just two strikes as they were relegated from the top flight.

Sulemana featured 20 times for Rennes in the first half of the campaign, including in the Europa League, scoring one and contributing two assists.
The winger, who is a graduate of FC Nordsjaelland’s well-renowned academy, is under contract at St Mary’s Stadium until June 2027.
He has been capped 18 times by Ghana, including at the World Cup last year, but is yet to score for his country at senior level.
Everton have already completed five summer signings, including a big-money deal for Udinese striker Beto.
Beto scored on his debut during a midweek win over Doncaster in the cup and could make his Premier League debut against Sheffield United on Saturday (2 September).
