Sources: Fulham, Burnley and Sheffield United plot late-window moves for Divock Origi

Premier League trio Fulham, Burnley and Sheffield United are all interested in late moves for ex-Liverpool striker Divock Origi before Friday’s (1 September) transfer deadline, sources have told Football Insider.

The 28-year-old is out of favour at AC Milan following a poor first season with the Serie A giants.

Milan are ready to offload Origi this summer with the forward not figuring in the long-term plans of head coach Stefano Pioli.

Football Insider revealed earlier this month (16 August) that the striker is also wanted by Saudi Pro League outfit Al Fateh.

Fulham, Burnley and Sheffield United – all of whom were recently promoted to the Premier League – are keen to add attacking reinforcements before the transfer window slams shut.

Origi managed just two goals and one assist across 36 appearances in all competitions for Champions League semi-finalists AC Milan last season.

He joined the European giants after leaving Liverpool on a free transfer last summer (2022) and is under contract at San Siro until June 2026.

The Belgian established a reputation as a fan favourite during his eight years at Anfield – and most famously scored the second goal in the Reds’ 2-0 win over Tottenham in the 2019 Champions League final.

He won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup during his time in England.

In total, he racked up 41 goals and 18 assists in 175 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool.

Fulham are desperate to add new faces to their attack after losing Aleksander Mitrovic to Saudi Arabia earlier this month.

Sheffield United have lost Iliman Ndiaye to Marseille, while Burnley need more goals if they are to ensure survival this term.
