Sources: Luton Town in advanced talks to sign Norwich goalkeeper Tim Krul
Luton Town are in advanced talks to sign Norwich City goalkeeper Tim Krul, sources have told Football Insider.
The 35-year-old shot-stopper is in the final year of his contract at Carrow Road and could be allowed to leave by the Canaries this summer.
Krul has been on the bench for both of Norwich’s Championship fixtures so far – including in Saturday’s (12 August) 4-4 draw with Southampton.
He has made 169 appearances for the Norfolk side since joining from Newcastle in 2018.
However, he was replaced by Angus Gunn in the side last season despite Krul starting the campaign between the sticks.
He made 17 appearances across all competitions in 2022-23, conceding 19 goals and keeping five clean sheets.

Krul was last a regular starter in the Premier League in the 2021-22 campaign – when he managed 29 top-flight games but conceded 62 goals as Norwich were relegated.
He has racked up 222 total appearances in the English top flight across spells with the Canaries and Newcastle United.
In those games, the veteran conceded 371 goals and kept 52 clean sheets.
He also racked up 15 caps for the Netherlands, playing for his country at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil after debuting in 2011.
Luton started their first-ever Premier League campaign with Thomas Kaminski between the sticks as they lost 4-1 away at Brighton on Saturday (12 August).
Kaminski joined the Hatters from Blackburn earlier this month after falling down the pecking order at Ewood Park last term.
The Hertfordshire side next face Chelsea later this month (25 August).
