Tottenham expert: Japhet Tanganga told to U-turn on Spurs move
Luton Town would not be the right choice for Japhet Tanganga if he moves on from Tottenham in the final days of the window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Spurs defender Alan Hutton said that although Tanganga would be tested every week at a club like Luton, it wouldn’t be an ideal move.
The 24-year-old has two years left on his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but has fallen down the pecking order.
According to The Athletic (18 August), Luton have made enquiries about a loan for the defender.
European sides Galatasaray and Inter Milan are also believed to be interested in the centre-back and Spurs would prefer a permanent move for the outcast.
Hutton insisted Tanganga needs to weigh up his options if he is to leave Spurs.

“I can tell you this – if it is a loan then that would make sense because he is going to get tested week in, week out,” he told Football Insider.
“Is it somewhere he is going to want to go to try and learn and become a better footballer when they are going to possibly be in a relegation fight and maybe back in the Championship next season?
“I think he will want to hold off and see all his options and then decide. Does he not have a future at Tottenham? I would never say never because you do not know and I think Ange will give everybody an opportunity.
“If he has been told his future is elsewhere then he will have to consider all his options. Is Luton the right choice? I am not sure.“
