Sources: Leicester City ready to accept £15m Iheanacho offer as Wolves plot revealed
Leicester City are ready to accept a bid of around £15million for Wolves target Kelechi Iheanacho in the final days of the summer window, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed Crystal Palace are poised to join the Molineux club in the race for the 26-year-old’s signature, as well as clubs from the Saudi Pro League.
Iheanacho has featured in each of Leicester’s games so far this season, with a well-placed source telling Football Insider he is considering running down his contract and leaving for free in 2024.
The Nigeria international could be persuaded to leave the King Power Stadium if he is presented with a good financial offer before Friday’s (1 September) deadline.
It is believed clubs are ready to test Leicester’s resolve for the striker following their relegation to the Championship.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (29 August) that the Foxes will go into the market for forward reinforcements if both Iheanacho and Patson Daka leave the club.

The promotion hopefuls are also looking for new winger options after losing stars like Harvey Barnes and James Maddison this summer.
Iheanacho is out of contract in less than 12 months’ time and can negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign sides from January.
The ex-Man City man has already managed one goal and two assists in five appearances totalling 293 minutes of action so far this season.
He managed just eight strikes and five assists across 35 appearances in the 2022-23 campaign – his last in the top flight.
That is a stark contrast to the 2020-21 season when he racked up 19 goals and seven assists in 39 games as Leicester lifted the FA Cup.
Iheanacho cost Leicester a reported fee of £25million when he joined as a 20-year-old in 2017.
