Sources: Bournemouth agree to sign Leicester star Patson Daka after he rejects Burnley deal
Bournemouth have agreed a deal to sign Leicester City striker Patson Daka after he turned down a potential move to Burnley, sources have told Football Insider.
Daka, who was also a target for AC Milan on deadline day, is putting the finishing touches to a move to the Vitality Stadium.
The deal is expected to be completed and announced by the Cherries ahead of Friday night’s transfer cut-off.
Daka is set to become Bournemouth’s ninth signing of the summer after the arrivals of Tyler Adams, Justin Kluivert and Alex Scott among others.
Dominic Solanke has led the line for the Cherries in all three of their Premier League fixtures so far, but newly-appointed manager Andoni Iraola is looking to add extra firepower to his squad.
After remaining an unused substitute in Leicester’s opening Championship fixture against Coventry City, the Zambia international has not been involved in any of the Foxes’ matchday squads.

He scored four goals and registered four assists for Leicester last season in 36 appearances across all competitions.
However, he was regularly used as an impact substitute last season with Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho preferred as starters.
Daka has failed to nail down a regular starting spot at the King Power Stadium since joining the club in a £23million move from Red Bull Salzburg in 2021.
He is set to end his time at Leicester having scored 15 times in 74 total appearances for the club.
