Everton captain Wayne Rooney today proved that class is permanent, as his penalty earned the Toffee’s a point at Anfield.
Everton were sturggling at 1-0 down before the England record goal-scorer found the net with a cool penalty, making this Rooney’s fifth goal in his last six starts versus Liverpool.
The point means that Everton remain undefeated under new manager Sam Allardyce, and fans were quick to head to twitter to praise the veteran striker.
