Celtic transfer news: Tottenham have now tripled Carter-Vickers asking price - Insider
Tottenham’s asking price for Celtic loan star Cameron Carter-Vickers has rocketed beyond £6million.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Carter-Vickers, 24, joined Celtic on loan in the summer of 2021 and has made 36 appearances for the club.
He has been a key part of the Hoops’ squad and only has one league loss to his name.
On 29 December, Wenham told this site Carter-Vickers could be signed for around £2.5million in the summer.
However, he has claimed that price – a Celtic source has told Football Insider the club are keen on a permanent deal ahead of the summer – has risen due to his impressive performances.

“He seems to have settled in really well at Celtic,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I saw he scored a goal against Motherwell the other day. It just comes down to them paying the money.
“I said in the summer that Tottenham would have accepted £2.5million for him.
“That has probably changed now. He signed a one-year extension before he went out on loan.
“The cards are all in Tottenham’s hands. I saw Celtic were interested in a £6million deal.
“I expect it will be even more than that now. His form has been so impressive.”
Carter-Vickers has previously spent time on loan at clubs such as Bournemouth, Luton and Stoke City.
He has made five senior appearances for Spurs after coming through the club’s academy.
