Youri Tielemans 'wants to jump ship' after Aston Villa source's fall-out reveal - pundit
Youri Tielemans will be stuck at Aston Villa despite tense relations with Unai Emery.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former West Ham striker Frank McAvennie insisted no club will want to sign a player who is “spitting the dummy out” because they aren’t getting game time.
On Wednesday (11 October), Football Insider revealed that the 26-year-old’s long-term future at Villa Park is in big doubt after a fall out with Unai Emery.
The former Leicester City star is believed to be unhappy with the amount of game time he has been awarded since his arrival in the summer as he continues to wait for his first Premier League start with Villa.
Tielemans is reportedly keen on a move in the January window given his strained relationship with Emery and has told his inner circle that he wants out at the earliest opportunity, despite his current deal running until 2027.
When asked if it will be a big worry for the Villans to have a player that wants to leave so early in their stay at the club, McAvennie told Football Insider: “Of course it is a worry but that is the kind of players that we have got nowadays.

“They do not get their own way then they want to quit and jump ship. You have just signed a four-year contact, you are here, fight for your place. Instead of doing that he wants to leave. I do not get that.
“If he can’t get in the Villa team and he wants to leave and is spitting the dummy out then no one will want to take him now.“
