'Cruel', 'Joke' - Arsenal fans react as Arteta makes David Raya decision
Arsenal fans have had their say with goalkeeper David Raya reportedly set to keep his place for the Champions League clash with Sevilla on Tuesday (24 October).
The Spaniard, 28, suffered the ignominy of being lobbed by Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk in the Gunners’ 2-2 draw away at Stamford Bridge on Saturday (21 October).
Raya has played each of the last seven games in the Premier League and Champions League after replacing Aaron Ramsdale in the lineup last month.
Ramsdale was absent at Chelsea to attend the birth of his son but has travelled to Spain as part of the Arsenal squad.
However, despite Raya’s recent shakiness – it seems Arteta is not yet willing to give the England international another chance between the sticks.
BBC Sport have reported that Raya will keep his place in the starting XI on Tuesday night.

The Brentford loanee, who has kept four clean sheets in seven games this term, can make his Arsenal stay permanent for a reported fee of £27million next year.
However, some fans have not been convinced by his recent performances and want Ramsdale back in the side.
Good. Ramsdale back next league game

Arteta is a joke. Give Ramsdale a chance. He just became a dad and will be motivated. Arteta doesn’t create competition at all. Raya knows he is no 1 that’s why he can mess about making mistakes every game.

Meanwhile, one fan slammed “cruel” Arsenal boss Arteta for his refusal to give the Englishman a chance in the Champions League.
So cruel that Ramsdale has not yet played a champions league game and he helped us get there. Very cruel from Arteta. Very cruel!

Another Gunner suggested Arteta will have dropped a “clanger” if Ramsdale isn’t brought back in for the Premier League clash with Sheffield United on Saturday (28 October).
Half expected this.

But I also expect Ramsdale to be in goal against Sheff Utd and if he isn’t then it’s a clanger from Mikel.
If an outfield player makes that many mistakes he gets dropped. Why should a keeper be different? Especially when we have 2 good quality keepers.
Fans also claimed Ramsdale’s time at the Emirates Stadium could be up.
I think Rambo’s time is up at the club tbh. There’s not been fair rotation so far, carabao cup games won’t cut it for him I reckon

Arteta’s making big mistake and creating conflicts in the club. He shouldn’t completely drop a better goalkeeper in this way. Ramsdale should seek to leave in January.

Finally, one fan praised Arteta for refusing to hang Raya out to dry following his high-profile mistake against Chelsea – but insisted Ramsdale should come back in.
In other news, Arsenal could sell two stars and then beat Liverpool to midfielder.
