Sources: Arsenal told to submit 'huge' offer for Pedro Neto

Wolves will hold out for a huge fee for Arsenal target Pedro Neto, sources have told Football Insider.

The Molineux club are reluctant to let the 23-year-old leave for below his market value after his scintillating start to the 2023-24 campaign.

Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (4 October) that Neto would be “interested” in quitting Wolves for a club challenging for honours such as Arsenal.

The Gunners have once again been linked with the winger, who is a long-term target for transfer chiefs at the Emirates Stadium.

It is believed that Mikel Arteta’s side tried to sign him once again in the summer window.

Since then, Neto has burst into life for Wolves after two tough seasons marred by injury problems.

He has bounced back to top form at the start of the 2023-24 campaign – notching one goal and four assists and making his mark as one of the most impressive players of the season so far.

The Portugal international’s contributions have ensured points for Wolves in games against Everton and Luton this season.

He penned a big-money, multi-year extension last year (2022), keeping him at the club until June 2027.

Neto can play both on the left and right flanks.

Arsenal are currently struggling with injuries to star wingers Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli ahead of their clash with table-toppers Man City on Sunday (8 October).

Meanwhile, Neto is next in action for Wolves against Aston Villa on Sunday.
