Agbonlahor tells Arsenal to seal 'perfect' Pedro Neto deal after new January reveal
Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted Wolves star Pedro Neto would be the “perfect” addition for Arsenal in the coming transfer windows.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 23-year-old can provide “proper backup” for wingers Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka – who are currently sidelined through injury.
Neto has been widely linked with long-term admirers Arsenal once again following his stellar start to the 2023-24 campaign.
The Portugal international has been one of the best players in the Premier League this term, notching one goal and four assists.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (2 October) that Wolves are unwilling to let Neto leave the club in January amid continued interest from the Gunners.
He is under contract at Molineux until June 2027 after penning a big-money, multi-year extension last year (2022).

The winger cost a reported fee of around £16million when he joined from Lazio in 2019.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “They need proper backup for Saka and Martinelli.
“Trossard, Vieira and Smith Rowe – these are all good players, but there’s no one with that blistering pace.
“Neto has shown that. He’s had a tough two years with injury, but he’s got that.
“He would suit Arsenal perfectly if they could get him in.”
Saka and Martinelli are both on the treatment table as Sunday’s (8 October) crunch game with table-toppers Man City approaches.
Arsenal sit third in the Premier League and are one of two sides with an unbeaten record in the top-flight this term.
