Scots pundit shares 'huge' verdict on Christie sensationally rejoining Celtic
Ryan Christie is expected to snub a sensational Celtic return in favour of another English Premier League move.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Rangers defender Alan Hutton suggested it may not be sensible for Christie to return to Parkhead after having established himself in the English top flight.
The 28-year-old left Celtic to join Bournemouth back in 2021 with his current deal set to expire in the summer but the Cherries are reportedly ready to offer a new contract to the midfielder.
Rumours have been swirling about a potential return to Paradise, with Christie free to speak to other clubs about a pre-contract agreement in January.
The Scotland international made 151 appearances across all competitions for the Hoops during his six years at the club and scored 41 goals in those outings.
When asked what he thought about a potential return to Glasgow for Christie, Hutton told Football Insider:

“I do not think Brendan Rodgers would close the door to any player that he thinks can make his starting XI better,” he told Football Insider.
“If there is something to be done there then there is always a possibility. Is coming back always a good thing? I am not so sure.
“I think when you are in the Premier League and doing well, playing games, I think there will be other options as well. Celtic are a huge club going for trophies, playing in European competitions so there is always a draw there.“
