Rangers expert suggests 'big stumbling block' in Abdallah Sima deal
Abdallah Sima’s price tag could be a “big stumbling block” if Rangers want to secure a permanent deal.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton suggested the Ibrox club will want to try and land the attacker on a permanent basis if he continues his red hot form.
The 22-year-old joined the Light Blues on a season-long loan from Brighton in the summer after spending his previous two seasons with the Seagulls on loan.
Sima joined Brighton from Slavia Prague in 2021 for around £7million but is yet to make an appearance for Roberto de Zerbi’s side.
Football Insider revealed on Friday (27th October) that there is no ‘buy’ option in the player’s loan deal.
The forward has made 16 appearances for the Gers across all competitions this season and has netted nine goals in those outings.

When asked if he would like to see the Gers make Sima’s deal a permanent one, Hutton told Football Insider: “Brighton bought him for £7m so that could be a big stumbling block.
“He has had a good return so far this season and I think we are starting to see the best of him.
“The pace that he showed for his goal, the finish, he is definitely stepping it up. It is all going to boil down to the price tag. If Brighton are looking to recoup most of that money it might be out of Rangers’ price range.
“If there is a deal to be done I am sure they will look at it, as long as he continues the form that he is on. “
