'Pochettino out' - Fans react to Chelsea bust-up as latest footage drops

Opinion was split on social media after Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino intervened in a bust-up between Nicolas Jackson and a Blues fan.

Chelsea suffered a 2-0 defeat to Brentford on Saturday afternoon after second-half goals from Ethan Pinnock and Bryan Mbeumo.

It marked the Blues’ fourth league defeat of the season, leaving them down in 11th-place in the table after 10 games played.

After a poor first-half showing, tensions boiled over at Stamford Bridge and one fan directed his frustration towards Chelsea forward Jackson.

The 22-year-old, who was signed by Chelsea from Villarreal in the summer for a £32million fee, then responded by putting his finger to his lip and shushing the supporter.

The latest online footages shows Pochettino was quickly on the scene, and the Blues boss stepped in to defend his player and told the supporter to return to his seat before his side were met with boos during the half-time break.

Fans flooded to X, formerly known as Twitter, to deliver their thoughts on the incident.

Many Blues fans sided with their manager and player, suggesting that it was ‘poor’ from the pitch-side supporter.

However, others sided with the supporter and agreed that Jackson needed a wake-up call after a very poor first half performance.

Some fans even showed signs of turning against Pochettino…
