Kieran Maguire drops £100m claim as Bournemouth finalise three-year deal
A new three-year naming rights deal will help Bournemouth financially make up for their small stadium capacity.
That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who exclusively told Football Insider that it is ‘absolutely essential’ for the Cherries to monetise different parts of their club.
As reported by SportBusiness, Bournemouth have extended their stadium naming rights deal with Vitality.
The two parties have been partnered since 2015, and the club’s 11,307-capacity stadium will continue to be called the Vitality Stadium until the end of the 2025/26 season.
The deal also includes naming rights to the East and Main Stands within the ground.
The Cherries achieved Premier League safety last season after securing a 15th-placed finish in the table.

Maguire believes Premier League safety was worth over £100million to Bournemouth and they will have to continue to monetise the club to continue to compete in the top flight.
“With the capacity constraints of the stadium, it is absolutely essential that Bournemouth monetise as much of the rest of the club as possible,” Maguire told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.
“Getting a new naming rights deal will be of some benefit to the club.
“What you find, however, is that the second, third and subsequent names of stadiums decrease in value as many fans opt to use the original.
“We have seen a similar thing happen at other clubs such as Bolton.
“Every penny helps Bournemouth in their fight for Premier League survival – staying up last season was a very good achievement by Gary O’Neil although his reward was to be sacked.
“But staying up has given the Cherries a minimum of an extra £100million in tv money, plus one year extra in parachute payments.“
