Sources: Tottenham boost as Adarabioyo set to move from Fulham

Fulham are braced for Tottenham target Tosin Adarabioyo to leave the club before the transfer deadline on 1 September, sources have told Football Insider.

The 25-year-old is in the final year of his contract at Craven Cottage.

And Fulham are now turning their attention to signing a new centre-back before the transfer window ends, potentially opening the door to Tottenham moving for Adarabioyo.

Football Insider initially revealed Spurs’ interest in the former Man City ace back in June.

It has been widely reported that Ligue 1 outfit Monaco have also seen a bid rejected for the former Blackburn loanee.

Adarabioyo has been missing from the matchday squad in Fulham’s first two games of the Premier League season with Marco Silva’s side now braced for him to exit.

He was a regular feature for the Cottagers last season as they recorded an impressive 10th-place finish.

The centre-back made 29 appearances across all competitions, notching one goal.

Adarabioyo, who earns a reported weekly wage of £40,000-a-week at Craven Cottage, has now racked up 107 games for the west London outfit.

Fulham activated a one-year extension clause in his contract back in January but may be forced to sell this summer to avoid losing the defender for free next summer.

Tottenham have already signed Wolfsburg star Micky van de Ven to bolster their rearguard this term.

However, as revealed by Football Insider on 15 August, Spurs are ready to follow the signing of Van de Ven with another centre-back after their Harry Kane windfall was confirmed.
