Sources: Leicester City agree terms with Southampton man Martyn Glover
Leicester City have agreed a deal with Southampton recruitment chief Martyn Glover, Football Insider understands.
The Foxes have moved for the experienced talent-spotter to replace Lee Congerton as their head of recruitment after he joined Serie A club Atalanta.
An industry source has told Football Insider that Glover has finalised terms with Leicester but could have to serve a spell on gardening leave before he takes on the job.
That would be a blow to Brendan Rodgers’ side, who are set for a major shake-up in the summer transfer window.
Glover has been lured to focus on targeting top quality young players with the potential to improve and develop under Rodgers.
Congerton, formerly of Celtic, left the King Power Stadium after presiding over a mixed bag of transfer dealings during his five windows at the club.

He masterminded the purchases of James Justin, Youri Tielemans and Wesley Fofana – but was also instrumental in the arrivals of Ryan Bertrand, Yannick Vestergaard, and Cengiz Under.
At Southampton, Glover has done well to maximise a modest budget to maintain the South Coast club’s Premier League status.
The former Everton chief scout played a key role in bringing Kyle Walker-Peters, Tino Livramento, and Mohammed Salisu to the club.
The Saints sit 15th in the Premier League, while Leicester occupy 11th spot – and have a Europa Conference League semi-final second leg date with Roma later this week.
The upcoming window is expected to be a busy one for Leicester.
Jamie Vardy’s injury worries could lead to a new arrival, and Tielemans’ contract saga continues to rumble on as the season draws to a close.
