Expert issues ‘huge’ Tottenham claim amid appointment fans will love
The appointment of a supporter liaison executive at Tottenham will help to bridge the relationship between the board and supporters.
That is the view of finance expert Dr Dan Plumley, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider about how the new recruit will benefit both the club and the fanbase.
Tottenham are close to appointing a supporter liaison executive this month after advertising the job on their official club website.
The role’s responsibilities are to “support engagement by working with Tottenham Hotspur supporter groups and individual fans, helping to represent their voice within the club.”
The recruitment comes just days after Tottenham supporters launched a protest against the current ownership group ENIC outside the club’s training ground.
Plumley believes the addition of a supporter liaison executive will benefit all parties and improve transparency.

“I’m always an advocate of more transparency and communication between fans and the club,” Plumley told Football Insider.
“Anything a club can do to try and bridge those lines of communication is a good thing.
“Fans want to be aware of what’s going on around the club.
“A supporter liaison executive is a huge positive and a step forward for the club.
“Tottenham are trying to be mindful of the protests and the bad PR that comes with the situation so it’s a move that suits all parties.
“It’s a great way to improve relationships with fans and it’s vital for the club as supporters pay the bills at the end of the day.“
