Sources: Watford and Norwich City make moves to sign Liverpool product Camacho
Watford and Norwich City are plotting moves to sign ex-Liverpool winger Rafael Camacho this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Camacho, 23, has struggled to make an impact at Sporting Lisbon and is open to a return to England to kick-start his career.
Norwich boss David Wagner is understood to be a long-term admirer of Camacho, while Watford are also looking to bolster their attacking options in this summer’s transfer window.
Both clubs have registered their interest in a deal.
Camacho, who has had spells out on loan at Rio Ave and Aris in the last two seasons, is entering the final year of his contract at Sporting and he could be available for free if his contract is cancelled early.
The attacker previously spent time with Man City’s youth academy before joining Liverpool’s set up at 16.

Camacho made two appearances for the Reds’ first team as well as 70 appearances for the youth sides.
He returned to Sporting in 2019 and has made just 26 appearances for the first team, scoring once and providing one assist in those limited outings.
Watford and Norwich are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements this summer after 11th and 13th place Championship finishes respectively.
It was the first time since 2019 that the Canaries have failed to win promotion straight back to the Premier League after being relegated.
Watford will have also remained in the Championship for consecutive seasons for the first time since before their promotion back in 2015.
