Arsenal players told to 'have a good look at themselves' after embarrassing reveal - Campbell
Arsenal players “need to have a good look at themselves” after the defeat at Nottingham Forest, according to Kevin Campbell.
The former Gunners and Everton striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, said Sunday’s performance “started off bad and just got worse”.
Mikel Arteta’s side failed to register a shot on target at the City Ground as they were knocked out of the FA Cup.
As quoted by Football.London (9 January), Arteta blamed “incisiveness” in the final third for his team’s failure to test Forest goalkeeper Brice Samba.
Campbell urged the Arsenal squad to “dust themselves down” ahead of Thursday’s crunch League Cup semi-final first leg at Anfield.
“Nottingham Forest deserved to win, let me get that straight,” he told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs.

“They were more tenacious, played more as a team and the only quality seen in the final third came from them.
“I know it was a makeshift Arsenal team at times but you have to have more quality than that. Look at you, the players on the pitch. You have got to have more quality than that.
“It started off bad and just got worse. To have no shot on target… This is a Premier League side. The players need to have a good look at themselves.
“They cannot be despondent though because there is a semi final this week. They have to dust themselves down and be ready to go again.”
