Leeds United may be forced to accept '£40m' Raphinha bid after source's reveal - Mills
Raphinha may force through a “£40million” move away from Leeds United this summer, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Whites and England defender claimed the 25-year-old will “throw his toys out the pram” if he is not granted a move.
A Leeds source told Football Insider earlier this week (24 May) that Raphinha is expected to quit Elland Road this summer with Barcelona still heavily interested.
A deal would have been made easier if the Yorkshire giants were relegated but Barca have not been put off by them staying up.
“They bought him for £17million so £40million would probably be difficult to turn down and you could get two players in for that,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“It’s Ok to say you want more than that but I think we’ve seen that if he doesn’t get his own way then it might not end well.

“Kalvin Phillips is not going to throw his toys out of the pram but can I say that for definite about Raphinha? No, I can’t. I can’t guarantee that in any way shape or form.
“He might say ‘I want to go no matter what’. He may cause one or two problems potentially. We saw under Bielsa that if he doesn’t get his own way he makes it quite apparent that he’s not happy.
“That’s a different scenario to Kalvin Phillips.”
Raphinha was directly involved in 33 per cent of Leeds’ 42 Premier League goals this season.
The Brazil international is under contract at Elland Road until the summer of 2024.
In other news, Kieran Maguire has issued a verdict on the 49ers quitting a £400million Leeds United takeover deal.
