Danny Mills predicts Leeds United signings blizzard after what he's heard from club icon
Danny Mills has suggested Leeds United will be very active in this summer’s transfer window after icon Eddie Gray claimed departed boss Marcelo Bielsa blocked any January incomings.
The former Whites defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the now-sacked 66-year-old felt he could survive relegation by relying on his coaching experience and skill.
Speaking on talkSPORT (May 23, 6:04), Gray revealed what he had been told by execs Angus Kinnear and Andrea Radrizzani about the January failings.
The former Leeds United player and manager claimed the Whites hierarchy wanted to add to the squad during the winter window, but Bielsa was adamant that no incomings were needed.
The Argentine lost his job in February 2022 after a run of four straight losses.
He was replaced by Jesse Marsch, who secured the Yorkshire side’s Premier League status.

Mills suggested Leeds United are now free to conduct their planned business after surviving relegation.
“I was listening to Eddie Gray on talkSPORT,” he told Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley.
“He’s obviously very close to the club. He was effectively saying that Leeds United wanted to make signings in January, but Bielsa said no.
“He obviously felt his coaching was enough to see them through. However, we saw that towards the end of his time – that just wasn’t the case.
“I think we’ll see a lot of those signings this summer that were in the pipeline then.”
Leeds United have already completed the signing of USA international Brendan Aaronson.
He will sign a five-year deal on 1 July.
The attacking midfielder notched five goals and nine assists for Red Bull Salzburg during the 2021-22 campaign.
