Liverpool may accept '£21m' Sadio Mane bid after 'desperate' twist - pundit
Liverpool may sell Sadio Mane for just £21million this summer, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Man City and England defender claimed it is not worth Liverpool haggling over Mane as he has been a fantastic servant for the club and was brought in cheaply.
The 30-year-old has entered the final 12 months and has made his intentions to quit Anfield clear.
The Times reported on Sunday (5 June) that the Reds have rejected Bayern Munich’s opening £25million bid.
But Mills has claimed Liverpool should not stand in Mane’s way if he is “desperate” to leave.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “He’s 30-years-old they bought him for not an awful lot and had good service out of him.

“You’re getting to the point, if he wants to go, if he’s desperate to move on, just get a fee for him and let him go.
“You’re going to end up haggling over £2million, £3million either way. Do you really want that when you’re going to have keep an unhappy player there and pay his wages as well?
“Or do you say ‘Right ok, let’s get a deal done’. Get the money and bring someone else in.
“There will be a little bit of posturing, a little bit of ego, a little bit of brinkmanship from both sides.
“Ultimately I see this deal being done at anywhere between £21million and £25million.”
Mane was arguably Liverpool’s in-form player as they chased all four trophies at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
Ultimately they finished with both domestic cups and finished runners up in the Champions League and Premier League.
