Leeds United may be ready to sign two Marc Roca alternatives after latest update - Mills
Leeds United will have three defensive midfield targets in mind this summer, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Whites and England defender insisted the club will still be busy in the transfer market despite agreeing two deals before the window formally opens.
Leeds confirmed earlier this week (8 June) that they had agreed a deal with Red Bull Salzburg for right-back Rasmus Kristensen.
They completed a deal with the same club for Brenden Aaronson last month (26 May) and both will officially become Leeds players at the beginning of July.
The Athletic reported on Thursday (9 June) that the Yorkshire giants have now turned their attention to Bayern Munich midfielder Marc Roca who is available for £10million.
“I’m assuming that these signings were earmarked by Jesse Marsch before he got the job,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“He’s raided the clubs he’s been at previously.
“He knows these players, he knows who he wants. It’s very early days as yet. We’ve still got Nations League to be completed, players are away, and some players want a break straight after the season.
“I’m sure it’s not the end of the transfer activity in or out.
“You have targets lined up, target one, target two and target three. It depends on how long you hold out for target one before you turn to target two.
“There are also other factors like what sort of money is available.”
Marsch worked with both Kristensen and Aaronson at Red Bull Salzburg before he left the Austrian club last summer (2021).
Before taking the job at Elland Road at the end of February, the American had a brief unsuccessful spell with RB Leipzig.
