Arsenal could sign two strikers this month with £75m Isak deal 'close' - pundit
Kevin Campbell has urged Arsenal to sign two strikers as Mikel Arteta’s side prepare for an exodus of forwards.
The former Highbury favourite, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted 22-year-old Alexander Isak would fit the bill perfectly at the Emirates Stadium.
According to El Nacional (2 January), Real Sociedad star Isak is “loved” by Arsenal, who are “close” to completing a deal – with his release clause set at £75million.
The Gunners are widely expected to lose three strikers between now and the start of next season, with Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette out of contract at the end of this season.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, contracted until June 2023, is reportedly available for transfer this month after a breach of discipline last month.
Campbell suggested Isak would be a welcome addition but insisted another forward is of paramount importance.

“Isak is exactly what Arsenal need,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“But I think they could do with another one. When you think about Aubameyang, Lacazette, and Nketiah – they’re on the way out, their days are numbered at the club.
“So you’re probably looking at bringing in two new strikers, minimum, whether that’s this month or in the summer.”
31-cap Sweden star Isak has scored eight goals in 23 games for Real Sociedad this term.
Arsenal sit fourth in the Premier League after 20 games.
Nketiah and Lacazette are free to negotiate pre-contract agreements with foreign sides after entering the last six months of their deals.
