Heung-Min Son reveals reason behind blistering form for Tottenham

Heung-Min Son has revealed that he misses playing at White Hart Lane despite being impressed by Wembley’s large pitch, and claimed that the fact he can train whenever he wants at the Spurs training ground is the reason for his upturn in form.

In an interview with Football.London, the midfielder opened up about his form this season and commented on not playing at White Hart Lane currently.

“I enjoy every stadium, I liked White Hart Lane,” Son revealed.

“Sometimes I really miss White Hart Lane – I had such good memories.”

Son went on to share that he had his “best moments” at White Hart Lane but admitted it was nice that more fans got to come the games at Wembley.

The midfielder has been impressive this season, scoring seven goals in his 22 appearances across all competitions for Tottenham.

In the same interview, Son wasn’t sure whether he was enjoying the best form of his life and that he was enjoying his football at the moment.

The midfielder credited the Tottenham training ground as a reason for his improvement in form, as it allows him to train when he wants.

He said: “The training ground is unbelievable. I can train when I want, you know? I think this makes me improve a lot.”

Son’s form has helped Tottenham sit sixth, two points off Liverpool who occupied the last Champions League qualification spot.

Spurs ended a winless league run that covered four games, when they beat Stoke City 5-1 on Saturday.

Son was the first Tottenham player to score in that game, after Ryan Shawcross had scored an own goal to give Spurs the lead.

Son’s side are next in action on Wednesday when they host Brighton at Wembley.
