'Please go away in January' - Liverpool fans have had it with one player after draw v Everton
Liverpool fans are furious with defender Dejan Lovren for his critical mistake in the 1-1 Premier League draw with Everton at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The 28-year-old conceded a second-half penalty for a clumsy challenge on Toffees forward Dominc Calvert-Lewin.
Reds supporters were left fuming after Wayne Rooney scored from the spot to hand Everton a share of the points and took to social media to express their frustration with the centre-back.

Random team selection. Greedy from Mané. Stupid from Lovren. Absolute joke, Merry Christmas Everton gifted you a point there ????????

Very soft penalty to give but Lovren shouldn’t have even given the referee a choice to make there. Awful decision making.

Liverpool took the lead on 42 minutes when Mohamed Salah cut inside and curled the ball into the top corner. Sadio Made missed a great chance to make it 2-0 just before half-time as the Reds broke away at pace, but he could only drag his effort wide.
The home side were left kicking themselves after they missed more opportunities to put the game to bed in the second half.

The big talking point came on 76 minutes when Lovren brought down Calvert-Lewin in the box. Referee Craig Pawson showed little hesitation in pointing to the spot, much to the anger of the home crowd.
Rooney showed great composure from the penalty spot when he swept the ball straight down the middle of the goal, sending Liverpool keeper Simon Mignolet the wrong way.
