No chance on earth Celtic will sell prized asset to Everton amid reported interest - view

It has been a while since Kieran Tierney has been linked with a move away from Celtic, and a few weeks before the Hoops start their Champions League qualifying campaign a new suitor has emerged.
The Mirror is reporting that fallen English giants Everton are interested in signing the 21-year-old as long-term replacement for their veteran full-back Leighton Baines.
The report goes on to claim that the Toffeemen are set to ‘test their resolve’ with a bid for the Scottish international.
Everton might well bid for Tierney – but there is no chance on earth that the Hoops will sell him.
The time just isn’t right for the Hoops to sell perhaps their prized asset, with the all-important Champions League qualifiers just around the corner.

The fact that Tierney signed a six year contract with the Hoops means that there is no need for the Hoops to cash in on the player, even if they fail to make the Champions League proper.
With no disrespect to Everton, Tierney will no doubt believe that he can follow in the footsteps of Liverpool’s Andy Robertson, who went from Dundee United to a Champions League final.
Tierney will inevitably leave the Hoops one day, as most players often do, you don’t get ‘one club men’ anymore, but it won’t be anytime soon, the club will make sure of that.
